How to choose a game for a customer campaign

Compare campaign mechanics against the audience, setting, access and intended action, using real Coca-Cola, Shinhan Bank and Pfizer experiences.

Break Uplift used the participant’s voice to follow a melody. The interaction served the campaign idea as well as its reward journey.

The game that looks impressive in a presentation may be awkward in a noisy venue, a busy branch or a customer’s short break. Choose the experience around the audience, the setting and the action the programme needs.

Creative ambition still matters. The strongest mechanic makes the brand idea easier to understand and the activity worth joining, while fitting the time, device and support available to the participant.

Write the brief around the person and setting

Describe where people will join, whether they are alone or with a group and what they should achieve. Include the entry route, the expected attention span and what happens after play.

A branch appreciation activity needs to fit a visit. A festival experience competes with movement, sound and other attractions. An employee event can connect play with company content and shared recognition. These differences affect the interaction before anyone chooses characters or animation.

Let the mechanic carry the campaign idea

Twin’s campaign work provides useful, distinct examples. Coca-Cola Break Uplift used voice, pitch and rhythm. Shinhan Bank used camera-based AR targets in a branch campaign. Pfizer Vietnam combined action-based play with questions and an event leaderboard.

ExampleRole of the interactionQuestions for a new programme
Coca-Cola Break UpliftVoice-based play connected the campaign’s melody with points and rewards. Is sound appropriate in the setting? Can participants understand and use the voice interaction?
Shinhan BankAR targets created a short, score-based branch activity. Will camera permissions, space and the participant’s device support the intended experience?
Pfizer employee eventAction-based play opened quiz questions, with scoring and recognition.Does the content fit the audience, and can participants follow the instructions and scoring?

The lesson is to match the mechanic to the purpose. Copying another brand’s creative or adding an unrelated challenge can weaken a campaign even when the technology works.

Choose how participation fits together

A single-player experience lets people enter when ready. A leaderboard can connect results without requiring everyone to play simultaneously. A live shared round has a different operating requirement: joining, timing and connection recovery become part of the group experience.

Decide how late entry, repeated attempts and an interrupted session should work. Explain what produces the score and whether a reward follows completion, a threshold, a ranking or a separately qualifying action.

Rewards should support the purpose and be understandable. A staff event may suit recognition; a purchase-linked programme may need verified eligibility and an entitlement the customer can find later.

Make entry and access part of the creative review

Test clear instructions, readable text, ordinary devices and the actual physical prompt. Avoid relying on colour, sound or rapid movement as the only way to understand essential information. Assess an appropriate alternative when the preferred interaction would exclude part of the audience.

Try the camera, microphone and network conditions where the experience will run. A fallback needs to preserve a useful customer task, rather than simply displaying a technical error.

Evaluate the complete experience

Observe whether participants can enter, understand the task, finish and receive the promised result. Inspect repeat attempts, unclear qualification and requests for help. Those observations give the team more useful design evidence than a polished demonstration alone.

If the relationship continues, decide which participation or response should reach a customer profile or service team. PangoCDP can support the configured data and journey; a tailored game or application can carry the distinctive branded interaction.
