About the client

A music-festival activation for a Carlsberg Group brand

Tuborg is an international beer brand within Carlsberg Group, a brewing business with around 37,000 employees and a presence in more than 150 markets. Music and live events provide a setting in which the brand can invite participation beyond a conventional advertisement.

At Vietnam’s HOZO outdoor music festival, Twin’s Tuborg Ice experience connected event QR entry with a branded mobile AR game, qualifying scores and campaign gifts.

The event purpose

Give visitors a clear reason to take part.

A busy festival needs an interaction people can join and understand quickly. Tuborg’s HOZO experience used the visitor’s own phone to connect a short game with the brand’s event presence.

The campaign supported awareness of Tuborg Ice and a discount-coupon programme. Visitors scanned a QR code at the event to open the experience in a Zalo Mini App.

The festival experience

Capture the branded targets and play towards a gift.

The AR game placed branded targets in the phone’s camera view. Players captured the targets to earn points, with qualifying scores connected to campaign gifts such as vouchers and merchandise.

The entry, game and reward rule gave each stage a clear role. The interaction was designed for the festival setting, where the visitor needed to understand what to do and what the score meant.

An event presence people could participate in

Festival QR entry opened the Tuborg Ice experience on the visitor’s phone. Branded AR targets, points and qualifying gifts turned the event invitation into a short, understandable activity.

The campaign screens, animation and participant image show the delivered experience in its event setting. The value was an active brand interaction linked with the campaign’s reward journey.
