Twin Global developed ScriptStream for Wesley Pharmacy Group’s specialist prescribing services. The work covered the prescribing workflow, Australian health-service integrations, conformance support and preparation for production use.
Current status: ScriptStream is released and in early production, with real prescribers using the platform while onboarding, script imports, testing and further development continue.

About Wesley Pharmacy Group
Wesley Pharmacy Group traces its history to 1977, when its founding partners opened a private in-hospital pharmacy at The Wesley Hospital in Brisbane. Its services now extend to hospitals, day hospitals and specialist medicine services across Australia.
Brand’s Ophthalmics Plus (BOP Plus), part of the group, supports ophthalmology practices with specialised medicines, prescription services and clinic consumables. ScriptStream supports the group’s specialist prescribing work.
Twin also works with Wesley Pharmacy on its OCS (Ophthalmic Clinic System), a separate project within the group.

The challenge
In an Australian specialist practice, several people may contribute to the prescribing process, but the authorised prescriber remains responsible for the final review and approval. ScriptStream therefore had to do more than store prescription details: it needed to make ownership, status, exceptions and the next action unmistakable throughout the workflow.
On screen, the experience looks straightforward: prepare and review a prescription, complete authority-related steps where required, approve it and submit electronically through eRx. Behind that experience sits the harder engineering challenge—turning clinical-service responsibilities into controlled software behaviour that can exchange information reliably with external health services and recover when something does not go to plan.
From requirements to product behaviour
The team organised the product around preparing prescription information, reviewing outstanding work, obtaining authority where required, approving the prescription and submitting it electronically.
PBS authority-related workflows formed part of the delivered scope. Twin also had to handle the surrounding system behaviour: credentials, external environments, statuses and the paths users need when a request requires correction or further action.
ScriptStream’s public product workflow supports approval and electronic submission through eRx, including bulk approval options. Twin’s implementation work connected the user action to the external prescribing services and the status behaviour required around successful and unsuccessful responses.
Australian healthcare integration
Moving ScriptStream into real use meant connecting the specialist workflow to the Australian digital-health services that support electronic prescribing. Twin Global worked through service contracts, identifiers, credentials, external environments, conformance scenarios and the failure paths hidden behind actions that should feel simple to the prescriber.
That work covered Healthcare Identifiers, eRx ETP1 and ETP2, Australian Digital Health Agency electronic-prescribing requirements, PBS authority-related workflows and PRODA-related access arrangements. It also included certificates and credentials, external test environments, production preparation, failure and correction paths, status visibility and representative end-to-end scenarios.
Integration and conformance milestones
The programme progressed through defined Australian digital-health integration and conformance milestones, alongside the operational work required to prepare the platform for production use.
Healthcare Identifiers Notice of Connection and HI conformance were completed.
Both defined electronic-prescription transfer conformance stages were completed.
The ADHA Electronic Prescribing Conformance Register lists Script Stream, BOP Plus Pty Ltd, software version 1.0, as a Prescribing System under conformance profile 3.0.1, with registration starting on 6 November 2025.

Certificates, credentials, test environments, failure and correction paths, status visibility and end-to-end scenarios were addressed.
PRODA-related access arrangements are part of the programme, while full PRODA integration is still in progress.
From build to real use
Production preparation covered external access, credentials, end-to-end scenarios, deployment and status visibility. The released platform is in early production with real prescribers.
Twin Global remains involved as Wesley Pharmacy Group continues prescriber onboarding, script imports, testing and further development.

The delivery work brought together
The programme combined specialist workflow design with external-service integration, conformance work and support through release and early production.
Roles, states, approvals and user actions were shaped around specialist-clinic responsibility.
Healthcare Identifiers, eRx, ADHA requirements and PBS-related workflows became part of the delivery programme.
The delivery included credentials, environments, rejected exchanges, correction paths, status visibility and end-to-end scenarios.
The work continues beyond release as Wesley Pharmacy Group brings more users into the platform and evolves the product.
Project value
ScriptStream moved from design and engineering into early production, with clinical preparation, review and approval represented as distinct steps in the product. Twin also delivered the scoped Australian health-service integrations and supported the relevant release and conformance work.
For Wesley Pharmacy, the value is a product built around its specialist prescribing workflow and the external services that workflow depends on. Production support and onboarding continue as the service develops.
